MPCDC strives to educate and equip residents of Northern Virginia by providing educational services and mobilizing resources to address social determinants of health, affordable housing, business development, civic engagement, and neighborhood revitalization. Our holistic approach is designed to meet the diverse needs of the communities we serve.

MPCDC envisions sustainable communities built through equity, empowerment, and service to others.

 MPCDC is proudly affiliated with Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, which provides foundational support and shared values. While we are located on the church campus, MPCDC operates as a separate legal entity with its own governance structure, mission, and programming focus. This structure allows us to serve the broader community, both faith-based and secular, through inclusive, equity-centered services.
